'Higher Pastures' provides holiday rental accommodation for up to 15 people - 2 separate holiday homes (10 and 5 persons) in our Bigourdane, a traditional French farmhouse in the Hautes Pyrénées department.

A 10m x 5m heated swimming pool is at the disposal of our visitors .

La Bigourdane is a spacious gite sleeping 8/10 on the eastern side of the building, with its own private entrance and garden. The main reception room is equipped with a wood-burning stove which provides the central-heating in winter. The room has a big dining table for those long drawn-out French mealtimes.Satellite TV /Dvd Player There is a small but well-equipped country kitchen, with gas cooker, fridge-freezer,micro-wave and dish washer. (Access to the washing-machine is in the barn) The downstairs bedroom suite has in addition to the sleeping area and ensuite-bathroom, a sitting area with books, games and wood burning stove. Upstairs there a two double bedrooms, one with ensuite bath, a mezzanine with 2 single beds and a third bathroom. Hairdryer

Outside there is a grassy area with a large walnut tree under which garden furniture can be arranged. There is also a large terraced area with BBQ available for al fresco dining. Great views of the Pyrenees are on offer from just outside. Alternatively wander down to the eating area near the pool, where you can dine comfortably under the shade of the 150 year-old oaks, with a panoramic view of the Pyrénées to the south and the northern hills and valleys toward Lourdes.

La Ferme

La Ferme is a spacious gite sleeping 5 persons on the western side of the building, with its own private entrance and garden.

The 2 spacious bedrooms sleep up to 5 in comfort, with a big family bathroom with shower. The house benefits from a modern fitted kitchen offering dishwasher, gas cooker, oven and microwave. (Access to the washing-machine is in the barn) There is a spacious dining/sitting room with wood burning stove for chilly winter evenings.Satellite TV/ Dvd Player. Hairdryer
